Petrol Price Today Below Rs 100 in Many Cities; Check Petrol, Diesel Price in Your Area

Fuel prices throughout the country remain stable on Wednesday, July 27. The latest changes in the price of gasoline and diesel were announced by the new state government Maharashtra. The government led by Eknath Shinde announced the tax cutting (VAT) in gasoline by RS 5 per liter and by Hospital 3 per liter for diesel earlier this month. The price of fuel for all countries remains stable since May 21 when Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman announced the excise tax slaughtering in gasoline with RS 8 per liter, and RS 6 per liter on diesel.

The retail price of gasoline in Delhi is RS 96.72 per liter, while diesel is being sold in cities for RS 89.62 per liter. In Chennai, gasoline consumers pay RS 102.63 per liter, and diesel consumers pay RS 94.24 per liter. In Kolkata, the retail price of gasoline is RS 106.03 per liter, while one liter of diesel in the capital city of West Bengal is being sold for RS 92.76 per liter.

Fuel prices are revised by the public sector OMC according to international benchmark prices and foreign exchange rates. Changes made in the price of gasoline and diesel are applied starting at 6 am every day. It should be noted that the price of gasoline and retail diesel is different in all states because of some local taxes such as VAT or transportation costs.
